Jean Clendining,
the current owner, eagerly acquired Japen's in 1977.
After retiring from
grooming,
Jean personally trained Teresa Campbell to become Japen's very own head
groomer and manager. Teresa has been a part of the Japen's family since 1986.
Teresa has surrounded herself
with team members
who truly love and
show their concern for the pets.
Japens offers grooming, boarding, day care and pet supplies.

Japen's Pet Center
was established in 1962 by Penny and Jack Fitzgerald, parents of
the current, proud owner Jean Clendining.
Penny established herself as one of the first pet groomers in the Tidewater
Virginia area. She devoted many
years of loving care to her customer's pets.
